Rack, Finishing Stack While building a small bookcase, I stumbled on an age-old problem: how to apply finish to all six sides and edges of the shelves in one sitting. (And, how to handle and store the freshly finished pieces until they dried.) This time, though, I figured out a solution.

Rack, Handsaw I own a small but very useful collection of handsaws. My problem was finding a handy and safe place to store them. The answer was a simple wall storage rack that keeps the saws out of the way but still easily accessible, as you can see in the photo.

Reamers, Tapered ... I dug out an old compass saw blade that had the right taper and put a scraping edge on its backside while Richard turned a hardwood stock to the same taper. Between us, it took about 1-1/2 hours. I still use this tool. The price is right, the effort minimal, and you can make a reamer of whatever length, bore, and taper you need.

Revolving Finish Station The top sits on a lazy Susan. This allows you to rotate the project and apply finish easily on all sides. The hinges allow you to set the station up and tear it down quickly. It can be set up in a corner of my shop out of the way and without taking up a lot of valuable space.

Roller Stand Brace The roller stand I have in my shop really comes in handy. It is quick to set up and adjust and provides the extra support I need at the table saw, drill press, etc. But it does have one minor flaw. The folding design of the legs can make it a little unstable. If a workpiece hits the roller wrong, it can fold right up and flop over. But rather than put up with this annoyance, I tried to come up with a good solution.
