Book Case zThis page trys to describe the basics of building a simple bookcase. The plans offered at the bottom of this page can be easily altered to any height or width. This bookcase is 41?tall by 42?wide and was made for my grandson Michael's bedroom. There is a short back to the top shelf to help keep stuff from sliding off and a toe kick under the bottom shelf, cause kids will be standing on it!

Book Rack zThese adjustable bookracks look nice and do a good job of holding books in place. They don't hold a lot of books but they are easy enough to make that you can make several. This would make a great gift for someone who's into reading or has lots of recipe books that they like to keep close at hand.

Book rest (PDF) zThis week we have the Design for making up a simple Book Rest, and as the illustration shows, it is a piece of work which would be acceptable to anyone. The Book Rest illustrated is planned with its two end panels in Antofret, but it is so arranged that these panels can be cut in straightforward fretwork if so desired.
