Drawer Joint Bits Online Video In ShopNotes No. 96, we showed how a drawer joint bit in your router table is a fast and easy way to make drawers in a short amount of time. The key to how this works is the bit and its unique stepped profile. What it allows you to do is cut both halves of the joint at the same bit height all you need to do is change the fence.

Drawer Pulls, Shop-Made I've built several storage cabinets with a number of drawers to help organize small pieces of hardware and other items. The problem was I didn't want to buy a separate pull for each drawer. Plus, I wanted an easy way to know exactly what was inside without having to open the drawer. To solve both these problems, I made drawer pulls that double as label holders, as you can see in the photo at right.

Drawers, Making Lipped - using a dovetail jig (PDF) You can do more with your half-blind dovetail jig than meets the eye. You have probably used it to make drawers with plain, inset fronts, but it is really quite simple to make lipped drawer fronts, too. Even though most dovetail jigs are basically the same, some of their manuals do not go into much detail about how to make this variation of the basic drawer (they often call it a rabbeted drawer, which is confusing). Whatever kind of jig you have, here is a foolproof process for making lipped drawers from beginning to end. This link will bring you to the beginning of their techniques page. From there, find the project you are looking for.

Handle, Wooden Like a lot of woodworkers, I have a hard time throwing away the scraps left over from a project. That was the case recently when I needed a couple of handles for a project. They're made from plywood and are fairly small.
