Circular Saw Guide Cutting Box Jig Repetitive cuts can be cut squarely and accurately every time with this cutting box for your circular saw. It is easy enough to make that different sizes can be made for projects as they come along. The one shown here is for straight cuts, an angle version could be made for cutting the top of fence boards.

Circular Saw Plywood Jig (Video) In this video segment, John White explains how to make an offset straight-edge jig that acts as a fence for rip cuts on sheet goods. After an initial cut to set the jigs plate width, the jig functions by aligning the edge of the sole to the mark line, clamping it to the cutting surface, and passing the circular saw along the sole plate. This method allows a circular saw to cut nearly as well as a tablesaw, ideal when you are working alone. The jig serves a dual purpose by protecting the plywood surface from the circular saw’s sole plate which may be marred with nicks and dings.

Jig, 45degree Miter Clamping I have always been frustrated with the difficulty in gluing, and especially clamping 45 degree miter joints. On this page, I describe the best method of gluing such joints I have found yet. I don't consider this method to be very good, just the best that I have figured out so far.

Jig, Biscuit Jointer By Gord Graff - I was presenting a seminar on biscuit joinery the other night and after the class one of the attendees came to me and couldn't believe how my simple biscuit joiner jig could solve a number of problems he had. He was so amazed with the simple thing that the only thing I could do was hand it to him and say, here you go”. After giving it away I knew that I would have to make a new one, so this morning I did just that and documented it in hopes that it may help someone else.

Jig, Box Joint As a new woodworker, the idea of a box joint jig intrigued me, and I had looked at a lot of plans. However they all seemed somewhat limited in that they were constructed for one size of joint. Finally I found the plans for a micro-adjustable box joint jig in ShopNotes (Vol. 2; Issue 8) and decided that was the way to go.
